Ashford's Shared Space
Like everyone else, Damian was unsure about whether drivers could behave differently in this fascinating road experiment with its well-signalled shared area but the answer so far has been yes. There have been no recorded accidents in the scheme since it started. We will not see the full benefits of the experiment until both sides of the road are fully developed, but then he is sure it will give Ashford a good feel in that part of the town.
