Damian welcomes Ashford's new high speed rail in Parliament
Often, talking about the railways involves some gloom and doom so it is refreshing to be able to mention it with some cheerful news. In September Southeastern Trains named their first high speed trains running between Ashford and London after the twelve fastest people of the country with Ashford’s very own gold-medal winner, Jamie Staff, among them. These trains are very important for the future prosperity of the town; they are making real the slogan “Best Placed in Britain”.
The other piece of cheerful news is the revamp of Ashford International Station.
